Stonelaw High School participated generously in the Gala Day on 21 May 2011. The young musicians and vocalist kept everyone’s spirits up during an afternoon of rain. As a result the event – sponsored by Fosters Funeral Directors – raise a significant sum of money for next years planting plan.
Burnside Primary, St Marks Primary and Calderwood Primary all participated in the Gala Day and in the art competition focusing on making Burnside more attractive through floral and other displays.
The partnership now well established with the Langside College Horticultural Department on the nearby Rutherglen Campus once again provided valuable contributions to the Gala Day and to the programme of spring bulb planting and the display at the Burnside Gateway.
